Hex Map Maker: Easily Create Old-School RPG Hex Maps
Hex Map Maker is a free iPhone app developed by Michael Friedman that allows users to easily create and print old-school style hex maps for pen and paper role-playing games. With this app, you can bring back the nostalgia of the old Dungeons & Dragons® Expert set by designing intricate maps with just a few taps.
The app provides a symbol picker where you can choose from seven different symbols, including Mountains, Hills, Forest, Desert, Grassland, Water, and Blank. Simply tap on the hexes to add symbols and watch your map take shape. If you make a mistake, you can easily change symbols by picking a different one and tapping on the hexes.
One of the standout features of Hex Map Maker is the ability to change hex types or map size without losing your current map. This flexibility allows you to experiment and modify your map as needed, while still maintaining your progress.
